Regent Park Film Festival
Blood Relative is director Nimisha Mukerji’s fascinating portrait of activist Vinay Shetty, as he fights against the Indian government to get Divya and Imran free medical treatment for Thalassemia. The film gets unprecedented access into modern India’s healthcare system, and tells a riveting story, where Vinay and the youth he must look after are bound together by ties stronger than blood.
The film screens November 14th at 6:30 pm at Aida Slaight Hall in the Daniels Spectrum facility located at 585 Dundas Street East, as part of the Regent Park Film Festival. The film is co-presented by the Thalassemia Foundation of Canada, and Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.
This is a free event and we encourage the Thalassemia Community to come out and support the film.
